MotoGP

For years, bwin has been a significant partner to MotoGP™, the premier category of the Motorcycle World Championships.
The riders have been flanked by the bwin logo from the starting grid right up until the winner’s ceremony at legendary races in Jerez, Mugello, Brno, Silverstone and Misano.
Since 2002, the highest category of world motorcycling formerly known as 500, changed the name to MotoGP™. The races have a long and prestigious tradition and have been organised, since 1949, by FIM (International Motorcycling Federation).
Legendary riders requiring mention are the Italian Giacomo Agostini: 15-time world champion (in different categories) in the '60s and' 70s and winner of 122 races (still unbeaten record), and the Australian Mick Doohan: five-time champion between 1994 and 1998.
From the beginning of the new millennium, it has been an Italian name at the top of the list: Valentino Rossi, better known as “Il Dottore”. He took the MotoGP™ title five times in a row from 2001 to 2005.
In recent years, several names have been interspersed including Nicky Hayden, Casey Stoner, Rossi again and later, the two Spaniards Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez. This season seems to be the most-challenging over recent years with the return of Valentino Rossi to the top trying to reach his tenth world championship.
With its unique activities carried out over the years, the partnership between bwin and MotoGP™ is still a successful case study in the world of sponsorship.
